Project Brief
For my branded environments class I created a new visual identity and way-finding system for the Garfield Park Conservatory. I illustrated a texture reminiscent of roots, leaf veins, and the conservatory’s splitting paths. Then I contained the texture in a silhouette of the Palm House dome symbolizing landscape architect Jens Jenson’s goal of “landscape art under glass.” I matched the organic strokes to a variable typeface, created more illustrations, and applied to many forms of signage throughout the space.
